On the left in the picture it is shown how the degree of movement indication is illuminated in the automatic transmission: 1 - bracket of the dump; 2 - cartridge; 3 - lamp with glass base.

On the right - lighting for the ashtray and lighter, as well as the heating system lever: 4 - clamping sleeve for the lighter; 5 - lamp socket for lighting the ashtray and lighter; 6 - lamp socket for lighting the heating lever.


Lighting for the control unit of the heating and ventilation system



The device for illuminating the heating and ventilation symbols is located on the right in the flap of the heating system lever. The lamp lights up when the parking and main lights are switched on.

Remove the lever flap (see chapter "Heating and ventilation").

Turn the bulb holder on the back of the shutter slightly to the left and remove it.

Remove the bulb from the socket. This is a glass-base bulb (1.2 W DIN Form W).

Ashtray and lighter lighting



A 1.2W DIN glass base bulb, shape VV, together with the socket, is inserted between the ashtray and the lighter. The bulb lights up when the car lights up.



On Golf models produced before July 1980: remove the glove box. See chapter "Car interior".

On Golf models built after August 1980 and Jetta: Remove the instrument panel cover at the bottom right as described in Chapter "Car interior".

On all models: Remove the bulb holder located between the ashtray and the lighter towards the engine compartment.

Remove the light bulb from the socket.

Indication of the stage of movement



Disengage the damper at the bottom, near the control lever; turn 90 degrees and remove.

At the bottom, near the control lever, pull the lamp socket out of the holder.

Remove the light bulb with a glass base from the socket (1.2W DIN W-type).

Glove compartment light bulb



Open the glove compartment.

Remove the lamp housing from the top right.

Remove the spotlight bulb (3W, length 28mm) from both locking tabs.

Trunk light



Open the trunk lid.

Pull out the bulb housing.

Remove the spotlight (3W, length 28mm) from her clamps.
