When installing under the bumper, make sure that the headlights you have purchased are provided as "hinged". Otherwise, the drain holes are located on the wrong side, and water can enter through them.
There are suitable holders for mounting the fog lamp under the bumper: 1 - lamp holder used when mounting on the metal bumper of the release before July 1978; 2 - fog lamp with a threaded connection on top; 3 - fog lamp with mounting lugs and holder (4) for a bumper in a plastic cover.
You need to buy the following parts:
- fog light switch (models with a factory-fitted rear fog light already have the switch);
- relay; if the release is before July 1982, then an appropriate adapter is also needed;
- holders and fasteners for installation; holders can be different for bumpers in metal or plastic shell.
Disconnect the negative battery cable.
Install fog lamp.
Fog lamp wiring shown on the diagram.
Remove the blind cover in the instrument panel (see chapter "Devices"); insert the switch.
Relay for fog lamps manufactured before July 1982, together with an adapter, to be fixed at the top in the central part of the electrical equipment.
Fog lamp relay after August 1982 insert from panel 8 (drawing).
Reconnect the cable to the battery and check the operation.'
With the ignition and lighting on, the fog lights should come on when the switch is pressed. When switching to high beam, the fog lights do not go out.
Adjust the light beam - fog lamp.
At a distance of five meters from the adjustment wall, the wide-spread beams of the headlamps must fall 100 m below the corresponding center point of the headlamp.
