Dismantling
Remove the cylinder head guard cover, see relevant section.
Rotate the engine to top dead center of cylinder 1.
Remove the upper part of the toothed belt, see relevant section.
(15-260) First remove bearing caps 5,1 and 3. Unscrew caps 2 and 4 crosswise.
Attention! Before removing the bearing caps, mark their position.
Pull out the camshaft.
The camshaft wheel sits on a tapered shaft and after unscrewing the nut can be easily removed with light blows with a rubber mallet.
Attention! If shims are removed to adjust the clearance in the valves, then first mark their installation.
Installation
Replace the camshaft seal before installing.
If the camshaft was removed, tighten the bolts to 45 Nm. Don't forget the washer.
If shims were removed to adjust the valve clearance, then install them according to the marking and the designation down.
Lubricate the shaft.
Attention! When installing the shaft, make sure that the cams of the first cylinder (from the toothed belt) looked up. Lightly grease the working surfaces of the cams.
(15-098) Trial install the bearing caps and pay attention to the centering of the holes. The covers must be-installed so that the holes of the covers and the head of the block match each other. Pay attention to the markings on the caps.
Fit covers 2 and 4. Pay attention to alignment. Tighten the new nuts crosswise with a torque of 20 Nm.
Install the cover 5, 1 and 3 according to the markings. With light strokes, fit the cover 5 to the end of the shaft. Tighten new nuts to 20 Nm.
Install toothed belt, see relevant section.
When the engine is cold, adjust the valves, see relevant section.
Check the start of delivery of the fuel pump, see the relevant section,
Mount the protective cover, see the relevant section.
Attention! After 1000 km of run, check the valve clearance with the engine warm and adjust if necessary, see the relevant section.
