Install wedge -T10161- between gearbox housing and tripod joint. Using a hammer on the wedge -T10161-, press the inner CV joint out of the gearbox. Remove drive shaft.
Installation
Install a new retaining ring into the groove of the splined end of the hinge. Insert the end of the hinge into the slotted hole in the gearbox. Insert the drive shaft into the joint as far as it will go. After that «push in» splined end of the hinge into the splined hole of the gearbox. To do this, you must first combine their slots, and then, shifting the hinge along the slots, with a force» push in «it into the slotted hole of the gearbox. Before pushing, the splined end of the hinge must be sufficiently deep into the splined hole of the gearbox.
Instructions: It is strictly forbidden to use a hammer or other percussion instruments!
Check that the circlip of the joint in the gearbox is firmly seated by pulling it out of the gearbox.
Caution: When performing this check, pull on the pivot only, not on the drive shaft.
As far as possible, insert the splined end of the outer CV joint into the splined hole in the wheel hub. Screw ball joint to triangular link -arrows-.
Instructions: Check the boot for damage and creases.
Install the lower soundproof casing. Tighten the hub bolt.
Instructions: The car must not stand on wheels, otherwise the wheel bearings will be damaged.
Install the wheel and tighten the wheel bolts.
Tightening torques
Ball joint to triangular lever. Use only new nuts | 60 Nm |
Drive shaft to hub "bolt with a twelve-sided head". Use only new bolt | 70 Nm and tighten by 90° |
