Drain the coolant.
Remove the EGR valve/bypass cap connecting pipe.
Remove the thermostat housing from the cylinder head.
Remove the locking and mounting bolts of the insert axle.

Screw the puller into the insert axle (fig. 2.308).
Remove the insert axle by tapping it lightly.
Installation is carried out in reverse order, taking into account the following.
Note: Do not interchange used roller levers.

Insert the insert shaft into the cylinder head and roller lever.
Tighten the insert axle mounting bolt to a torque of 10 Nm.
Replace the locking bolt and tighten the new locking bolt to a tightening torque of 10 Nm.
