Install the cooling system tester with the cooling system adapter on the cover (fig. 2.185).
Create an excess pressure of max. 1.6 bar using the tester's hand pump.
The pressure reducing valve must remain closed.

Replace the cover.
Raise the pressure above 1.6 bar.
The pressure reducing valve should open.
If the pressure relief valve does not open, replace the cap.
