Removal
Drain the coolant.
Note: Gaskets and O-rings must be replaced.
Remove the poly V-belt.
Remove the timing belt.

Remove the water pump mounting bolts 1 2 and remove the water pump (fig. 2.189).
Installation
Installation is carried out in reverse order, taking into account the following.
Lubricate the new O-ring 3 with coolant.
Install water pump 2 into the cylinder block and tighten mounting bolts 1 to a torque of 15 Nm.
Note: The coolant pump plug points down.
Install the timing belt.
Install the poly V-belt.
Fill with coolant.
