If it is difficult to disconnect the exhaust pipes, use one of the following methods:
- cut the exhaust pipe at a distance of 5 cm behind the mounting bracket. Saw the remaining piece of pipe along the axis and knock it down using a hammer and chisel;
- using an oxy-fuel welder, heat up the pipe joint and separate the pipes.
Raise the car and secure it on stands.

The point of separation of the pipes of the exhaust system is located at a distance of 140–150 mm from the central muffler, see fig. The point of separation of the pipes of the exhaust system on front-wheel drive vehicles with four- and five-cylinder engines except for engines of 150 hp
Front-wheel drive vehicles with 150 hp engines. With.
The point of separation of the pipes of the exhaust system is located at a distance from the additional muffler on models with five-cylinder engines 160–170 mm, and on engines with a turbocharger 1.8-I about 160–180 mm, see fig. The point of separation of the pipes of the exhaust system on front-wheel drive vehicles with a 150 hp engine. With.
All-wheel drive vehicles and vehicles with a 6V engine
The point of separation of the pipes of the exhaust system is located at a distance of 244 mm from the center muffler, see fig. Exhaust pipe connection point on 4WD vehicles and vehicles with 6V engine.
Cut the exhaust pipe at the indicated location.
Release the muffler from the rubber suspensions and remove it from under the car.
Installation
1. Install the muffler in rubber hangers.
2. New clamps must be used to connect the exhaust pipes.
3. Check the position of the muffler and, if necessary, turn it so that the distance between the muffler and the bottom of the vehicle is at least 25 mm.
4. Tighten the nuts securing the clamping bracket to 40 Nm.
