Removal and installation injectors (VW Passat B4)

To remove, disconnect the high-pressure fuel lines from the injectors. Disconnect the fuel drain line. Unscrew the injectors with a socket or open-end wrench (Fig. 3-42).



Remove the heat shield washers.

To install, place new heat-shielding washers in the position shown in Fig. 3-43. Screw in the injectors and tighten them to a torque of 7.0 kgf·m. Connect the fuel drain line and high-pressure fuel lines to the injectors. It is not necessary to bleed air from the fuel system.
