Checking the injection advance regulator slider potentiometer (VW Passat B4)

Set the instrument and starter switch key to the "Off" position. Disconnect the connector of the wire bundle of the central control system (Fig. 3-55). Measure the resistance of the potentiometer by connecting an ohmmeter to terminals "1" and "2". The measurement should be 5-7 kOhm.



If the measurement results are outside the range specified above, replace the slide potentiometer.
