Checking the fuel temperature sensor (VW Passat B4)

Set the instrument and starter switch key to the "Off" position. Disconnect the wire harness connector of the central control system (Fig. 3-55).

Check the resistance of the fuel temperature sensor by connecting an ohmmeter to terminals "5" and "6" of the connector. If the resistance on the ohmmeter does not correspond to the values specified above, replace the fuel temperature sensor.
