Note: The resistance of the air temperature sensor is measured between terminals "1" and "4" of the central injection unit connector, and the resistance of the coolant temperature sensor is measured between the terminals of the sensor.
Checking the incoming air temperature sensor (VW Passat B4)
Disconnect the connector of the central injection unit of the flap (Fig. 2-62), connect the ohmmeter to the terminals of the unit block. The relationship between the temperature of the incoming air and the measured resistance is the same as when checking the coolant temperature sensor.
