Removal and installation coolant temperature sensor G62 (VW Tiguan 1)

The engine is not warmed up. Remove the air duct cover, to do this, unlock the side clamps "arrows".



Disconnect the lower air duct, to do this, unlock the "arrow" clamps. Remove the lower air duct with an air hose.

Cars with resonator

Remove the boost air guide pipe to the resonator.

Disconnect the hose clamp "2". Unscrew the bolt "4". Disconnect the electrical connector "arrow". Remove the sound insulation.



Remove the air duct, -1 and 2-.





Unscrew bolt "1" and remove the air duct downwards. Disconnect electrical connector "1" of the throttle control module "J338". Unscrew bolts "arrows" and remove the throttle control module "J338".



Remove the intake pipe support by unscrewing nut "2" and bolt "1".



Disconnect electrical connector "1" of coolant temperature sensor "G62".

Instructions: Place a rag underneath to collect any leaking coolant.

Remove the clamp bracket, to do this, press the "arrow" latches. Remove the coolant temperature sensor "G62" "2".



Installation is carried out in the reverse order, observing the following.

Instructions: Replace the sealing ring. To avoid coolant loss, immediately insert a new coolant temperature sensor "G62" into the fitting.

Check the coolant level.
