Examination
Turn off the ignition. Disconnect the switch connector. Connect an ohmmeter to the terminals of the switch block and measure its resistance, which should be zero when the throttle valve is closed and equal to "infinity" when the throttle valve is open.
Adjustment
Loosen the screws securing the switch (fig. 2-203). Insert a 0.15 mm thick feeler gauge 1 between the drive lever and the throttle valve stop. Move the throttle valve to the position where the switch contacts switch. A click should be heard.

Tighten the switch mounting screws and check the adjustment again. Connect the switch connector.
