The power steering reservoir is located in the engine compartment in front of the battery.
The power steering system is filled at the factory with hydraulic oil according to VW specification G 002 000.
The oil level is checked with the engine not running but warmed up.
To control the oil level, use the marks on the tank (outside) and on the dipstick, which is attached to the screw cap of the tank (inside). The oil level should be between the max and min marks. If the level has dropped to the minimum mark, check the power steering at a service station - simply adding oil is not enough.
