Connect the pressure gauge as described above.
Start the engine at idle speed, close the pressure gauge valve.
Turn the steering wheel all the way to the right, then to the left, noting the pressure on the pressure gauge at the extreme positions, which should be in the range of 68-82 kg/cm².
If the pressure is not within the normal range in the left and/or right extreme position of the steering wheel, replace the steering gear.
