Adjustment of the mechanism of a gear change
- C - screw for fastening the adjusting device;
- D - screw fixing the gear lever;
- E - slide fixing screw
Before adjusting the shift cables, check that the gearbox, clutch and clutch control are in order. In addition, the gear lever should move smoothly and without jerks.
Order of execution
1. Set the gearshift lever to neutral and apply the handbrake.
2. Release and lift up the protective cover of the gear lever.
3. Loosen the stop bolt on the gearbox (A, see fig. V clause 4 of subsection 8.1.1).
4. Remove the bolt securing the shift cable (A) and a nut from the tip of the pre-selection cable (B) so that the shift cables can move freely in the elongated holes.
5. Inside the car, unscrew the bolt in front of the shift lever housing (C, see fig. Adjustment of the mechanism of a gear change) and install adjuster 3422.
6. Place the fastening hook of the adjusting device under the plate and fasten it with the screw (D, see fig. Adjustment of the mechanism of a gear change). Slide the gearshift lever to the left into the slot in the slider of the adjusting device.
7. Move the shift lever and adjusting device to the left as far as it will go and firmly fix the slide with the screw (E, see fig. Adjustment of the mechanism of a gear change).
8. Move the shift lever to the right into the slots in the adjuster and tighten the bolt (WITH) torque 15 Nm.
9. Install the slotted plate and guide pin into the shift lever on the transmission. Slide the plate between the gear lever and the cover until it is firmly seated, but it should not raise the gear lever.
10. In this position, screw in both shift cables, with the cable between the stop and the clamp bolt, and remove the plate with the guide pin, as well as the adjusting device. Bolt (A, see fig. in paragraph 4) tighten to a torque of 25 Nm, and the nut (IN) torque 15 Nm.
11. Establish a protective cover of the lever of a gear change.
12. Tighten the stop bolt on the gearbox to 25 Nm.
