Execution order
1. The gear shift lever in the initial position should be set to the 3rd–4th gear engagement line.
2. Press the clutch pedal, start the engine and after 3–6 seconds, test engage all gears.
3. If gear shifting is not smooth, check the shift shaft lift as follows.
4. Shift into first gear.
5. Press the gear shift lever to the left, then release the lever and measure the vertical movement of the gear selector shaft, which should be 1 mm.

6. To adjust, loosen the nut (A) securing the hinge to the pre-selector lever and, by moving the cable hinge in the cable slots, set the required shaft movement.
7. Tighten the cable mounting nut to a torque of 15 Nm.
8. Replace the gear shift lever cover.
