Warning: Good visibility is of great importance for ensuring traffic safety, which can only be achieved when all windows are clear of ice, snow and there is no fogging of the windows.
Warning: The greatest heating of the passenger compartment and the fastest clearing of glass fogging are only possible when the engine reaches operating temperature.

Handle A – temperature selection
Turn clockwise to increase heating.
Turn counterclockwise to decrease heating.
Switch B – fan
Air supply is regulated in four stages. At low speeds, the lower stage of the fan should always be turned on.
In cars with a dust filter, in any position of the fan switch B, the air is cleared of dust, soot, plant pollen, etc.
In position 0, the air supply is closed and the fan does not operate. This prevents, among other things, polluted outside air from entering the passenger compartment. Since the windows may then begin to fog up, the fresh air supply may only be closed for a short period.
On vehicles with a dust filter, the use of the 0 position mode of switch B is only necessary if there is an unpleasant smell of outside air. Dust particles, pollen, soot, etc. are retained by the filter.
Handle C – distribution of air supply to nozzles

The rear air nozzles for the footwell area are adjusted together with nozzles 5.
Key D – air recirculation
Pressing the key switches on the air recirculation mode. When switched on, the control lamp in the key starts to light.
In this mode, air is sucked out of the cabin and then fed back into the cabin.
To turn off air recirculation, press the recessed button again. The indicator lamp will stop glowing.
Operating the unit in recirculation mode prevents unpleasant odours from entering the passenger compartment, for example when driving through a tunnel or in a traffic jam.
If you need to raise the temperature in the cabin especially quickly, you can set the recirculation mode. In this mode, air is sucked in from the cabin and heated.
Warning: The air recirculation mode should, however, only be switched on for a short time, as no fresh air enters the interior and the windows may fog up.
For safety reasons, recirculation mode is not possible when the C knob is in position
.
In addition, the recirculation mode is switched off when you turn the knob C from the "Air flow to the footwell" position to the "Windshield de-icing" position until it stops (see position of handle C in the figure Ventilation and heating controls).
If the C knob is in the adjustment zone between the position shown in the figure and the "Windshield de-icing" position, the recirculation mode is not possible.
