The rear seat can be folded down to increase luggage capacity; on a vehicle with separate rear seats, each of the two seat sections can be folded separately.
The rear head restraints must be removed before folding the seat.
Before folding the seat, to avoid damaging it, you should:
- position the front seats so that the back of the rear seat does not rest against the front seats;
- push in the rear cup holder.
How to fold the rear bench seat
1. Lift the seat cushion slightly by the loop (arrow 1) and pull it forward until it stops. Then fold the cushion back (arrow 2).
2. Pull the release button located on the seat back (when seating without a seat, pull both buttons simultaneously) in the direction of the arrow and tilt the back forward.
How to put the seat back
1. First, fold the back back into place.
2. Fold the cushion back into place and slide the cushion all the way back. Then press the front of the seat cushion down until it locks into place. Keep the middle seat belt up high as you do this, otherwise the belt will get caught between the backrest and the cushion and will not be usable.
3. Make sure that the seat belts are not caught and damaged when the seat backs are folded back.
