The rear seat backrest can be folded to increase luggage space.

The backrest of the rear seat is separate. Each part can be folded separately.

Folding the rear seat



Remove the headrests from the seatbacks that need to be folded.

Lift the seat cushion by the front edge 1 (Fig. 1.94) and fold it forward 2.

Insert the headrest posts from above into the round holes of the folded cushion.

Pull up the backrest locks 3 (Fig. 1.95).

Fold the backrest forward. Make sure that the socket 4 sits on the protrusion in the seat cushion.

Returning to the back seat



Pull the headrests out of the seat cushion.

Raise the backrest slightly and put the headrests back in place.

Fold the backrest back into place until it locks into place. Make sure not to pinch the straps.

Put the seat cushion back in place. Make sure that the belt buckles are accessible.

If the rear seat is folded down completely, a partition net should be installed.

CAUTION: The rear seat back must be securely locked after being returned to its place, so that no object from the luggage compartment can fly forward in the event of emergency braking. A red mark in the lock indicates that the backrest is not locked in the locked position; when the backrest is securely fixed, this mark is not visible.
