Rear wheel disc brakes for front-wheel drive vehicles
- 1 - cross-head screw, 4 Nm;
- 2 - brake disc. If replacement is necessary, replace both rear brake discs. Before removing the brake disc, the caliper must be removed;
- 3 - protective cap. When installing, a new protective cap must be used;
- 4 - self-locking twelve-sided nut, 175 Nm. At installation it is necessary to use a new nut;
- 5 - wheel hub with bearing;
- 6 - bolt, 60 Nm. The bolt must be installed with a Belleville spring washer;
- 7 - partition;
- 8 - trunnion of the hub;
- 9 - hand brake cable;
- 10 - rear beam;
- 11 - ABS sensor;
- 12 - screw with an internal hexagon;
- 13 - a bolt with an internal hexagon, 65 Nm;
- 14 - caliper holder;
- 15 - brake hose. The brake hose is secured with a hollow bolt with O-rings. The bolt is tightened with a torque of 35 Nm;
- 16 - self-locking bolt, 35 Nm. At installation it is necessary to use a new bolt;
- 17 - support;
- 18 - brake pads;
- 19 - spring latches
Warning: Be sure to replace all pads on one vehicle axle, even if only one pad has reached the wear limit. If the pads are to be reinstalled, they must be marked before removal.
Order of execution
1. Loosen the rear wheel bolts, then raise the rear of the vehicle and secure it on stands.
2. Remove rear wheels.
3. Fully release the handbrake lever. Remove spring clip (1), securing the sheath of the handbrake cable (3). Click on the lever (2) in the direction of the arrow and disconnect the handbrake cable from the lever.
4. Remove the upper and lower caliper mounting bolts. When unscrewing the caliper mounting bolts, hold the guide pin with a wrench. Do not disconnect the brake hose from the caliper.
5. Remove the caliper and, using a soft wire, tie it to the body. At the same time, do not stretch or twist the brake hose.
6. Remove the brake pads and spring clips from the caliper holder.
