Removal and installation the rear wing niche trim (VW Golf 4)

Location of fastening elements of the rear wing niche trim

• 1 - rear wing niche trim;
• 2 - bracket with nut;
• 3 - screw;
• 4 - nut

Removal

1. Raise the rear of the vehicle and support it on stands.

2. Remove the corresponding rear wheel.

3. Unscrew the 7 screws (3) securing the rear wing niche trim.

4. Remove the rear wing niche trim from under the wing arch.

Installation

1. Install the rear fender well trim under the fender arch and secure with screws.

2. Install the rear wheel, then lower the vehicle to the ground.

3. Tighten the wheel mounting bolts in a diagonal sequence to a torque of 120 Nm.
