2. Disconnect the hose from the washer nozzle and the electrical connectors.

3. Attach a thin, long cord to the hose and electrical connector.

4. Pull the wiring and hose out of the hood and untie the cord from them, leaving it in the hood. Later, you will need the cord to pull the wiring and hose into the hood.

5. Remove the hinge housing (14) from the spring clips of the right hood hinge.

6. Using a marker, mark the position of the hinges on the hood.

7. Have an assistant support the hood in the open position and disconnect the air hood strut from the hood.

9. If it is necessary to remove the air hood support from the vehicle, remove the lower part of the support in the same manner.

10. When removing the air bonnet support, do not completely remove the spring clip from the ball joint, otherwise the spring clip will be deformed and the air bonnet support will have to be replaced.

11. Unscrew the bolts securing the left and right hood hinges and carefully remove the hood.

12. Check the condition of the hood hinges for play and wear and replace them if necessary.

Installation

1. Using two helpers, position the hood and tighten the hood hinge bolts by hand.

2. Align the hood hinges according to the marks made earlier and tighten the hood mounting bolts.

3. Secure the pneumatic strut to the hood by pressing the strut firmly until it locks onto the hood's spherical hinge.

4. Install the hinge cover and secure it with the spring clip.

5. Attach the electrical connector and washer hose to the cord and pull them into the hood.

6. Place the hose onto the windshield washer nozzles.
