Removal
Open the hood.
Remove the air filter from the engine and cover the intake pipe with something.
Disconnect the wire from the license plate light and remove the light from the hood.
Unscrew two bolts from the hood hinges and, overcoming the spring tension, lift the hood upwards. At the same time, unhook the spring from the upper cutouts.
Installation
Raise the hood slightly. Holding it at an angle, put the spring back in place. Press the hood up a little and secure it to the second hinge.
Move the hood in the longitudinal openings to ensure its uniform fit and seal. Tighten the bolts and check by opening and closing the hood several times to make sure it fits properly into the lock.
