Removal and installation the front bumper (VW Golf 4)

Front bumper

• 1 - front bumper;
• 2 - bolt 4 pcs., 20 Nm;
• 3 - bumper beam;
• 4 - nuts 6 pcs.;
• 5 - bolt 6 pcs., 2 Nm;
• 6 - guide;
• 7 - bolt 6 pcs.;
• 8 - bolt 8 pcs.;
• 9 - bracket with nut 8 pcs.;
• 10 - bolt 7 pcs.;
• 11 - shock absorber pad;
• 12 - spoiler;
• 13 - ventilation grilles

Removal

1. Tilt the safety clips (B) upwards. Using a screwdriver blade (C), release the release lever (A) and remove it from the hood latch.

2. Remove the release lever (A) from the front crossmember.

3. Remove the radiator grille.

4. Remove the radiator grille.

5. Remove the bumper mounting bolts (8 and 10, see picture Front bumper).

6. Pull forward to remove the front bumper from the side guide brackets.

Installation

Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
