Control system device (VW Golf 2)
The steering gear is of the gear type and is mounted on the front auxiliary frame. The transverse steering rods are screwed to the return mechanism arms using self-locking nuts. On the other side, the transverse rods are attached to the steering gear using ball joints. The steering knuckle rotates on the ball joint of the lower balancer and the longitudinal bearing of the spring column. Some models of cars are equipped with a power steering system.
