Crush and install the tire pressure monitoring system control unit J502 (VW Touareg 1)

The tire pressure monitoring system control unit J502 is mounted on the foot-operated parking brake support bracket.

Removal

Remove the trim in the driver's side footwell.

Disconnect the plug connection and remove the tire pressure monitoring system control unit J502 from the foot parking brake support bracket 1 (Fig. 4.37).

Installation

Installation is carried out in the reverse order, taking into account the following.

Secure the control unit to the foot parking brake support bracket with new rivets.

Perform programming and calibration of the control unit.
