Stabilization system (ESP)
Electronic stabilization program (ESP) contains an electronic differential lock (abd) and traction control (ASR).
ESP works on the basis of ABS sensors and actuators. If one of these systems malfunctions, the malfunction indicators of both systems on the instrument cluster are lit.
ESP turns on automatically when the engine is started. ESP must always be enabled.
In some situations, you can turn off the ESP by pressing the switch (see fig. 28).

For example, when driving with snow chains, on snowy surfaces, etc.
When driving on a dry and level road, ESP should be turned on by pressing the same button.
When ESP is turned off, ASR and ABD are turned off at the same time.
Switch key (ESP) lights up under the following circumstances;
- when the ignition is switched on and the functional control of the vehicle systems is carried out (2 seconds);
- when the system intervenes in the trajectory of the car;
- in case of ESP malfunction;
- when ESP is turned off.
Attention! The fact that ESP has the ability to correct the vehicle's trajectory should not be a reason for a risky driving style. This is especially true in adverse weather conditions.
Traction control (ASR)
This system prevents wheel spin (especially when starting off on a slippery road). This system brakes a slipping wheel with brake pads. Thus, the torque is redistributed by the differential towards the wheel, which has better traction.
