Warning: Driving style must always be in accordance with road and traffic conditions. The increased vehicle safety achieved by this traction control system should not be used as an excuse for risky driving.
Vehicles with anti-lock braking system (ABS) can be additionally equipped with an anti-slip system with a reduction in engine torque.
Thanks to the traction control system with a decrease in engine torque, under adverse road conditions, it is significantly easier or even possible to start the car from a stop, accelerate the car, overcome steep slopes.
Normally, traction control should always be on. Only in certain exceptional cases, when wheel spin is desired, is it preferable to switch the system off.
