Warning: Your driving style should always be adapted to the road surface and traffic conditions. The increased vehicle safety provided by this anti-skid system should not be a reason for risky driving.
Vehicles with anti-lock braking system (ABS) can be additionally equipped with traction control system with engine torque reduction.
Thanks to the anti-skid system with reduction of engine torque in unfavorable road conditions, starting the car from a standstill, accelerating the car and overcoming steep climbs is significantly easier or even becomes possible.
Normally, the traction control system should always be switched on. Only in certain exceptional cases, when wheel spin is desired, is it preferable to switch the system off.
