1. Check the ball joints of the steering rods for excessive play. Check the condition of the rubber casings of the ball joints and the rubber casings of the steering gear for cracks and cuts. Check that all nuts and bolts are tightened to the correct torque. Use only ET grease to lubricate the steering gear.

2. Check the fluid level in the booster reservoir and top up if necessary. Check the power steering pump drive belt. Adjust it or replace it with a new one.
