1. Check the ball joints of the steering rods for very large backlashes. Check the condition of the rubber covers of the ball joints and the rubber covers of the steering gear for cracks and cuts. Check that all nuts and bolts are tightened to the correct torque. Use only ET grease to lubricate the steering gear.

2. Check the fluid level in the amplification system reservoir and top up if necessary. Check the booster pump drive belt. Adjust it or replace it with a new one.
