The wheel is removed from the car and mounted on a balancing machine. This is how balancing is done. The imbalance values appear on the display. Equilibrium can be achieved by installing lead counterweights.
To eliminate residual imbalance, more precise balancing is required. It is also necessary that the wheel hub and brake disc are balanced. The wheels are not removed from the car, but are rotated directly on it on a special stand.
Note: The front wheels must not be driven by the electric motor when balancing more precisely. One-sided acceleration damages the differential. Instead, the Volkswagen is raised on supports at the front; the engine rotates the front wheels in 4th gear (speed up to 90 km/h).
