Circuit breakers (pic. P:6)
The fuses are located on the left side of the dashboard. To access the fuses, remove the three screws securing the shelf to the dashboard and remove the shelf. Fuses are numbered from 1 to 15, starting from the left (see section "Technical data"). A blown fuse can be identified by a break in the metal strip. Disconnect all circuits protected by the fuse before replacing the fuse. Remove the fuse box cover and carefully remove the defective fuse, insert a new one (must be of the same denomination) and check the operation of the relevant electrical circuit. If the fuse immediately blows again, find out and correct the cause of the problem. Do not install a fuse with a higher current rating, or repair a blown fuse with wire or foil - this can lead to overheating of the wires and a fire.
Relay
Some electrical circuits are switched on by relays. The relays are located at the top of the fuse box behind the dash and plug into separate sockets (pic. P.6). To replace the relay, you just need to pull the relay out of the socket and insert a new one in its place - the relays cannot be repaired and disassembled. To test the relay, substitute a known-good relay (relay assignment see section "Technical data").
Turn signal breaker
Combined turn signal/alarm breaker relay is also located on the fuse box (pic. P:7). If necessary, replace the breaker by pulling it out of its holder and inserting a new one.
