(40-1027) The bolt head and nut washer must be centered in the bearing. If the bolt head or nut washer touches the thrust washer (arrow), the wear limit has been reached and the bearing must be replaced.

Dismantling



Loosen the wheel bolts, put the car on jack stands, and remove the wheel.

Remove the upper axle joint mounting bolts and carefully tilt the steering knuckle to the side.

Tighten the guide rod bolts to 60 Nm.

Screw on the wheel, lower the bus, tighten the wheel bolts crosswise to a torque of 180 Nm.
