Removal
Remove the oil pan.
Hold the oil pump sprocket with a wrench to secure it.

Loosen the sprocket mounting bolt (Fig. 2.56).
Note: Do not completely unscrew the bolt.

Using a screwdriver, press the chain tensioner in the direction of the arrow (Fig. 2.57).
Remove the chain tensioner mounting bolt.
Remove the sprocket from the oil pump and remove it from the chain.

Loosen the oil pump mounting bolts and unscrew them (Fig. 2.58).
Remove the oil pump from the cylinder block.
Installation
Use a screwdriver to press the chain tensioner in the direction of the arrow (Fig. 2.57).
Insert the sprocket into the chain and place it on the oil pump shaft.

Check the position of the sprocket on the oil pump shaft (Fig. 2.59).
Screw in the sprocket mounting bolt.
Hold the sprocket with the key to secure it.

Apply a torque wrench (5–50 N·m) as shown in Figure 2.60.
Tighten the mounting bolt to a torque of 20 Nm + 1/4 turn (90°).
Install the oil pan.
