Removing
Remove the oil pan.
Hold the oil pump sprocket with a wrench to secure it.

Loosen the sprocket bolt (pic. 2.56).
Note: Do not completely unscrew the bolt.

Use a screwdriver to push the chain tensioner in the direction of the arrow (pic. 2.57).
Remove the chain tensioner mounting bolt.
Remove the sprocket from the oil pump and remove it from the chain.

Loosen the oil pump mounting bolts and remove them (pic. 2.58).
Remove the oil pump from the cylinder block.
Installation
Use a screwdriver to push the chain tensioner in the direction of the arrow (pic. 2.57).
Insert the sprocket into the chain and fit onto the oil pump shaft.

Check the position of the sprocket on the oil pump shaft (pic. 2.59).
Screw in the sprocket mounting bolt.
Hold the sprocket with a wrench to secure it.

Attach a torque wrench (5–50 Nm), as shown in Figure 2.60.
Tighten the mounting bolt with a tightening torque of 20 Nm + 1/4 turn (90°).
Install the oil pan.
