Removal
Disconnect the battery.

Slide the protective cap in the direction of the arrow from the traction relay (Fig. 7.27).

Unscrew the positive cable 1 and disconnect the plug connection of terminal 50 2 (Fig. 7.28).
Remove the sound insulation.
Remove the mounting nut 1 from the lower starter mounting bolt.

Remove wire holder 2 (Fig. 7.29).

Remove the lower starter mounting bolt (Fig. 7.30).

Remove the upper starter mounting bolt (Fig. 7.31).

Unscrew the fastening nut of ground wire 1 and put ground wire 1 aside (Fig. 7.32).
Remove the starter from the engine compartment by lifting it upward.
Installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse order, taking into account the following.
Tighten the threaded connections to the specified tightening torques.
