Luggage compartment (VW Passat B5)

To maintain good driving characteristics of the car, it is necessary to pay attention to the uniform distribution of the load (weight of people and cargo). Heavy objects should be placed as close to the rear axle as possible, or better yet, between the axles.

Care must be taken to ensure that no objects rub against the heating conductive tracks of the rear window.

Used air is discharged from the passenger compartment through ventilation openings in the side trim of the luggage compartment. These openings must not be covered by luggage.

Mounting lugs

The luggage compartment has four eyelets for securing luggage.

Two eyelets are located on the sides, right and left, at the front of the luggage compartment. The other two eyelets are located at the rear.
