
Turn the instrument and starter switch key to position "2". The pre-heating indicator lamp will light. Wait until the indicator lamp goes out and turn on the starter without pressing the fuel supply control pedal. Do not turn off the starter until the diesel engine starts running steadily. Push the starting device handle all the way in.
If the engine does not start on the first attempt, try again with the preheater turned on again. Hot engine. Turn on the starter without pulling the starter handle or pressing the accelerator pedal.
NOTE: Before stopping an overheated gasoline or diesel engine after a long period of high speed driving or driving on rough terrain, let it idle for approximately 2 minutes.
