When connecting batteries, please note the following:
- 1. The external battery must have the same nominal voltage as the discharged one.
- 2. The connecting wires must be thick enough to withstand the starting current (about 300 A).
- 3. The wire clamps must have reliable contact with the battery terminals.
- 4. The wires should be connected to the discharged and external batteries at the same time: first connect the positive terminals, then the negative ones.
- 5. If the booster battery is installed in another vehicle, start its engine before starting the engine with the discharged battery to prevent the second battery from being discharged too quickly.
- 6. Reduce both engine speeds to 1000 RPM or less before disconnecting the wires.
Do not disconnect the vehicle's electrical system wires from the battery while the engine is running.
