Windscreen cleaner

The control switch lever, located on the steering column on the right, has the following positions (Fig. 19):
  • 0: cleaner off;
  • 1 (press the lever up without bringing it to a fixed position): turn on the cleaner for one stroke;
  • 2 (first upper fixed position): normal speed of the cleaner;
  • 3 (second upper fixed position): high speed cleaner;
  • 4 (lower fixed position): intermittent operation of the cleaner;
  • 5 (pressing the lever towards you from position 0): turning on the windshield washer while simultaneously turning on the wiper for several strokes;
  • 6 (pressing the lever away from you from any position): turns on the rear window wiper and washer.

The rear window wiper is switched off by pressing the lever away from you once while the wiper is moving. Headlight washer (on some car models) turns on when the headlights are on, simultaneously with the windshield washer.

The windshield and headlight washer reservoir is located in the engine compartment on the left (Fig. 20 and fig. 31). Pour a mixture of water and detergent into the tank in the summer or with a special antifreeze in the winter.
