Central door locking

The central locking system, installed on some models of the car, provides simultaneous locking and unlocking of all four doors, the luggage compartment (with the lock hole in a horizontal position) and the fuel tank filler flap.

From the outside, the locks are unlocked by opening the lock of any of the front doors with a key.

To simultaneously lock the doors from inside the passenger compartment, press the button located at the top of the left front door trim.

NOTE: If the central locking system fails, all locks can be unlocked with the key. To force the hatch lock to unlock, remove the right luggage compartment trim and press the locking rod towards the front of the vehicle.

Rear door lock levers

When transporting children in the rear seat, the rear door locks can be blocked from opening from the inside using the lever located under each lock (Fig. 22). In this case, the rear doors can be opened from the outside as usual.

Electric windows

The electric windows of the front or all four doors, installed on some models of the car, are controlled by switches located on the doors. Depending on the configuration, the left front door has switches for controlling the windows of all four doors (Fig. 23). The middle switch 5 blocks the windows of the rear doors.

The original can be seen on the portal VWmanual.ru

On vehicles with central door locking and electric windows, the lowered door windows can be raised from the outside by inserting the key into one of the front doors and holding it in the locked position.
