Brake pads of brand and type Jurid 526 FF or Jurid 499 FF.
The thickness of the friction lining, taking into account the substrate, for brake mechanisms with solid discs is 14 mm. For brake mechanisms with ventilated discs, 11 mm.
The minimum thickness of the friction lining when worn, taking into account the backing, is 7 mm.
On vehicles produced since July 1995 with a 16-valve "ABF" engine and with brake discs with a diameter of 288 mm and a thickness of 25 mm, brake pads of a modified design are installed. The inner and outer pads of the same wheel cannot be interchanged (Fig. 7-3).
Drum brakes on the rear wheels with automatic adjustment of the gap between the pads and the drum.
The diameter of the wheel cylinders for cars with the EZ engine and the sedan body is 19.05 mm, for other models of cars 20.64 mm. The characteristics of the rear wheel brake drums are given in Table 7-2.
Brake pads of brand and type Textar T 062 FF. Friction lining thickness 5.4 mm. Minimum friction lining thickness at wear 2.5 mm. Friction lining width 40 mm.
Rear brakes are Girling brand with solid discs, floating caliper, single-piston. Piston diameter is 38 mm (Fig. 7-4).

The outer diameter of the disc is 226 mm. The thickness of the disc is 10 mm. The minimum thickness of the disc during operation is 8 mm. The axial runout of the working surface of the disc is no more than 0.06 mm.
Brake pads of brand and type Textar T 419 EE. Thickness of friction lining including backing 12 mm. Minimum thickness of friction lining when worn including backing 7 mm.
Since October 1992, in order to increase the efficiency of the working and parking brake mechanisms of the rear wheels, calipers of a modified design were installed, the external difference of which from the caliper of the previous design consists in the presence of a screw-in holder for the parking brake drive cable instead of a holder made integral with the caliper body.
The calipers of the modified design are not interchangeable with the calipers of the previous design.
