Removal



Disconnect the ground cable from the battery.

Unscrew the intake air guide casing fastening and set it aside together with the attached wires, see below.

Mark and disconnect the vacuum hose to the ignition distributor on the carburetor side. First, loosen and move the clamp back.

Loosen the air damper position control device, see below.

Disconnect the multi-pin plug of the electrical wires to the fuel shut-off valve when the ignition is turned off and the time-delay thermal valve at the carburetor.

Disconnect the intake air heater electrical wire plug.

Pull the gas rod at the counter support to the side; do not remove the safety bracket, otherwise the throttle rod will have to be adjusted during installation. Remove the retaining bracket at the carburetor lever and remove the throttle rod.

Loosen the clamp and disconnect the fuel hose from the carburetor. Plug the hose with a suitable plug, such as a clean bolt of the appropriate diameter.

Remove the 3 hex head bolts that pierce the carburetor.

Remove the carburetor.

Cover the inlet pipe with a clean cloth.

Installation


If the carburetor flange has been removed, tighten the flange mounting bolts to 13 Nm and, depending on the version, bend the tabs of the lock washers.

Put the carburetor back in place.

Tighten the mounting bolts to a torque of 7 Nm.

In accordance with the marks applied, connect the vacuum hoses from the intake manifold and ignition distributor to the carburetor and secure the hoses with clamps.



Put on and secure the fuel hose with a clamp.

Connect the gas rod, insert the fixing bracket. Insert the rod into the counter support.

Connect the intake manifold heater electrical wire.

Insert the multi-pin plug until it audibly locks into place.

Screw on the air damper control device. The marks on the carburetor and device bodies must match.

Install the air intake guide shroud, see below.

Connect the ground wire to the battery.

Check idle speed and adjust if necessary.
