Removing
Disconnect ground wire from battery.
Unscrew the fastening of the intake air guide casing and put it aside together with the connected wires, see below.
Mark vacuum hose to ignition distributor on carburetor side and disconnect. First loosen and slide back the clamp.
Unscrew the air damper position control device, see below.
Disconnect the multi-plug electrical wires to the ignition-off fuel cut-off valve and the carburetor time delay thermostatic valve.
Disconnect the electrical connector for the intake air heater.
Pull the gas draft at the counter-support to the side; do not remove the safety bracket, otherwise the gas draft will have to be adjusted during installation. Remove the retaining clip at the carburetor lever and remove the throttle linkage.
Loosen the clamp and disconnect the fuel hose from the carburetor. Plug the hose with a suitable plug, e.g. a clean bolt of suitable diameter.
Remove the 3 hex head bolts penetrating the carburetor.
Remove carburetor.
Close the inlet pipe with a clean handkerchief.
Installation
If the carburetor flange has been removed, tighten the flange mounting bolts to 13 Nm and, depending on the version, bend the tabs of the lock washers.
Replace the carburetor.
Tighten the fastening bolts to 7 Nm.
Connect the vacuum hoses from the intake manifold and ignition distributor to the carburetor in accordance with the marks made and secure the hoses with clamps.
Fit and secure the fuel hose with a clamp.
Connect the gas draft, insert the fixing bracket. Insert the rod into the counter support.
Connect the intake manifold heater electrical wire.
Insert the multi-pin plug until it clicks into place audibly.
Screw on the air damper control. In this case, the marks on the bodies of the carburetor and the device must match.
Install the intake air guide see below.
Connect ground wire to battery.
Check idle speed and adjust if necessary.
