Note: To replace the steering rods, the steering gear must be removed. Workshop work!
Removal
Loosen the tie rod end mounting nut.

Remove the steering tie rod joint pin from the steering arm using standard puller "A".
Loosen the lock nut securing the tip to the steering rod.
Unscrew the tip from the transverse tie rod. When removing the transverse tie rod tip, count the turns so that when installing the new tip, screw it in by the same number of turns.
Installation
Screw the new tip into the steering rod with the same number of turns.
Tighten the lock nut securing the tip to the steering rod to a torque of 50 Nm.
Insert the steering rod joint pin into the steering arm and tighten with a new self-locking nut to a torque of 35 Nm.
