Cars with 4-cylinder engine up to 9/93
Note: In vehicles with other engines, the compressor is driven by a wide poly V-belt, see chapter "Engine".
The V-belt is tensioned correctly if, when you press it with your thumb in the middle between the pulleys, it bends by about 10 mm.
Raise the car.
Tension
loosen 4 fastening nuts "1" by at least 1 turn.
Turn tensioner bolt "2" accordingly.
Tighten the mounting bolts and nuts.
Check the belt tension and repeat the adjustment if necessary.

Lower the car.
