By visual inspection, determine the condition of the hub and, above all, the seal.
Check the fastening of the cooling blades.
Check the ease of rotation of the turbine.
Check the inner diameter of the bearing bushing and its radial runout using a bore gauge (see subsection "Design and technical characteristics").

A - on cars with carburetor engines;
B - on vehicles with fuel injection engines;
1 — selector lever handle with lock;
2 — selector lever;
3 — bracket;
4 — selector cable;
5, 7 — throttle control cable;
6 — gear shift control lever;
8 - push rod;
9 — intermediate gear shift control lever;
10 — throttle control rod.
