Carburetor Keihin 26-30 DC



The EP engine was equipped with a Keihin 26-30 DC emulsion-type carburetor, two-chamber, with sequential opening of the throttle valves. The carburetor has two main metering systems of the 1st and 2nd chambers, an idle system of the 1st chamber with a transition system, a transition system of the 2nd chamber, a locking system of the 2nd chamber, an economizer of power modes, an accelerator pump, a starting device, an electromagnetic idle shut-off valve.

Carburetor Pierburg 1B3



The YN and WV engines were equipped with a Pierburg 1B3 emulsion-type carburetor, single-chamber, with an automatic starting and heating device of a mixed type, which uses a bimetallic spring with electric heating and circulation of heated liquid from the engine cooling system, with an accelerating piston pump, an economizer of power modes, an economizer, with electric heating of the carburetor body, air heating in front of the intake manifold and an electromagnetic shut-off valve of the idle system.

Carburetor Pierburg 2B5



The YP engine was equipped with a Pierburg 2B5 emulsion type carburetor, two-chamber, with sequential opening of the throttle valves.

The carburetor has two main dosing systems of the 1st and 2nd chambers, idle systems of the 1st and 2nd chambers with transition systems, an economizer of power modes, a piston accelerator pump. The carburetor has an automatic starting device and an electromagnetic shut-off valve of the idle system.

Carburetor Pierburg 2E2



The DS and DT engines were equipped with a Pierburg 2E2 emulsion-type carburetor, two-chamber, with sequential opening of the throttle valves.

The carburetor has two main metering systems of the 1st and 2nd chambers, an idle system of the 1st chamber with a transition system, a transition system of the 2nd chamber, a power mode economizer, an economizer, a diaphragm accelerator pump, an automatic device for starting and heating of a mixed type, which uses a bimetallic spring with electric heating and circulation of heated liquid from the engine cooling system, and a pneumatic drive of the air damper and a device for electric heating of the intake manifold are used. The carburetor has a pneumatic drive of the throttle valve of the 1st chamber, which controls its movements in idle and forced idle modes, as well as a pneumatic drive of the throttle valve of the 2nd chamber. At forced idle, the forced idle economizer is activated.

Intake manifold heating device


  • Current consumption when measured on a car, A: 20-30. Nominal resistance at a temperature of 20°C, Ohm: 0.25-0.50.

Idle speed control solenoid valve


  • Winding resistance, Ohm: 30-40.
  • Crankshaft rotation frequency corresponding to valve engagement, rpm: 1200.

Control of the intake manifold heating device


  • Contact closing temperature when measured between "+" and "R" plugs,°C: < 55.
  • Contact opening temperature when measured between "+" and "R" plugs,°C: > 65.

Control of the bimetallic spring of the automatic starter and heating
