Warning and information messages on the display

Malfunctions in the operation of the vehicle's devices and systems are indicated by control and signal lights, as well as test messages on the display (see illustration), accompanied by an acoustic signal.

Text message on display "STOP Oldruck" (STOP! Oil pressure!) look at the illustrations.

Faults of primary importance are colored red, and those of secondary importance are colored yellow.

Examples of High-Impact Warnings

Brake system pictogram with the warning STOP! FLOODING/TUNG (STOP! BRAKE FLUID. See OWNER'S MANUAL!)

Coolant pictogram with the warning STOP! DO NOT KEEP BEING AN ANIMAL! (STOP! CHECK COOLANT LEVEL. See OWNER'S MANUAL!)

Engine oil pressure pictogram with warning STOP! OLDRUCK MOTOR ACS BETR1EBSANLE1TUNG! (STOP! ENGINE OIL PRESSURE HAS DROPPED. STOP ENGINE. See OPERATING MANUAL!)

When a malfunction of systems and devices occurs, a specific pictogram flashes or lights up and three consecutive warning signals sound.

Red pictograms indicate danger. Stop and turn off the engine. Check the faulty system or device and eliminate the fault.

If several faults of primary importance are registered, the icons appear one after another for approximately two seconds each. The icons flash until the fault is corrected.

While a priority warning message is displayed on the display, it is not possible to switch the display to another mode.

Examples of minor warnings

Motor oil pictogram with a message "OLSTAND PRUFEN" (CHECK THE OIL LEVEL).

Fuel pictogram with the message "BITTE TANKEN!" (PLEASE REFUEL!).

Glass washer icon with a message "WASCHWASSER AUFFULLEN" (POUR FLUID INTO THE WASHER RESERVOIR).

Brake pad pictogram with a message "BREMSBELAG PRUFEN" (CHECK BRAKE PADS)

Anti-theft system pictogram with a message "WEGFAHRSP. AKTIV" (ANTI-THEFT SYSTEM IS ON)

In case of minor faults, the corresponding pictogram lights up and one warning signal sounds. If possible, check the system or device immediately.

If several minor faults are registered, the icons appear one after the other for approximately two seconds each. After a while, the message disappears and the icon remains on the edge of the display as a reminder to check.

In addition to warning messages about failures, the display also shows information messages about certain processes or reminders about the need to perform certain procedures.
