Removing
Attention! There is a risk of injury when the vehicle is jacked up or placed on jack stands. Familiarize yourself with the precautions for jacking up your vehicle.
1. Mark the direction of rotation of the wheel with an arrow on the sidewall of the tire.
2. Loosen the wheel bolts.
3. Jack up the car and remove the wheel.
4. Unscrew eleven bolts 4 and remove the front part of the fender liner 3 from the wheel arch (see illustration).
5. Unscrew the seven bolts 2 and remove the rear part 1 of the fender liner from the wheel arch (see illustration 46.4).
Installation
6. Install the fender liner components into the wheel arch and secure them with bolts.
7. Reinstall the removed wheel, observing the direction of rotation marked on it, and screw in the wheel bolts.
8. Lower the vehicle onto the wheels and tighten the wheel bolts in a criss-cross pattern to 120 Nm.
Rear wheel arch liner. Golf Cars
9. Unscrew nine bolts 2 and remove fender liner 1 from the wheel arch (see illustration).
Front wheel arch liner. Touran cars
10. Unscrew fifteen bolts 2 and remove the fender liner 1 from the wheel arch (see illustration).
Rear wheel arch liner. Touran cars
11. Unscrew fifteen bolts and remove the fender liner from the wheel arch.
