Execution order
Warning: Adjustment of the boot lid/tailgate position must be made with the vehicle on its wheels.

1. Using a 24 mm spanner, turn the rear door stop (1) counterclockwise 90° and remove it from the door.
2. Remove the rubber bumper from the door stop, then use a 3mm Allen key to back out the contact screw until it stops.

3. Remove the valve from the housing by a distance of A = 12.5 mm.

4. Place the rear door stop (1) into the door and, using a 24 mm spanner, turn the stop 90° clockwise.

5. Remove the piston spacers (1) and expansion pistons (2) from both sides of the vehicle.
6. Close the rear door by applying light pressure in the middle of the door.
7. Adjust the position of the rear door so that the gap between the door and the body is 5 mm. In a specialized workshop, special tool 3371 is used for this.
8. Open the back door again.
9. In this position, the rear door is set to a pre-tightening of approximately 3 mm.
10. On both sides of the vehicle, install the piston spacers into the hollow pistons.

11. Tighten the contact screw (1) with an Allen key to a torque of 1.5 Nm.
